Solve Problem
John Lenon and Paul McCartney are the songwriters for the song “We Can Work It Out”. “We Can Work It Out”, as every Beatles fan knows, is a song about how people can solve problems by understanding each other better.
But not in the way you think.
If you listen carefully to the lyrics of the song, you’ll see that Lennon and McCartney’s idea of “fixing the matter” is the same as Witherspoon’s. “Solving the problem” means “see things from my perspective”.
See the events from my point of view.
Do I need to speak until I’m done with what you see in my language?
As long as you see things from your own perspective,
Soon we are in danger of falling apart.
We can solve the problem.
We can solve the problem.
Intentionally or not, these lyrics describe very well how people deal with differences of opinion. Everyone believes that he is right, and then, thinking of making the other person give up, he imposes his own point of view and tries to solve the problem in his own way.
People think their logic is correct no matter what.
